Spiralix cf. S. puteana (Coutagne, 1883)

Known distribution for this “possible” puteana: Source du Bout du Monde, Verdus creek, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, Hérault, S. France. Altitude ≈ 150m.
Above: a specimen collected at the emergence. 1,65mm.
The shape and the microsculpture are those of the puteana of Coutagne: shell subconical and not cylindrical as in lineolata, spiral sculpture obsolete and very thin, but not missing as in vitrea.
Spiralix puteana lives in hyporheic habitats as well as in karstic aquifers of at least the Gard and the Vaucluse. Same spot. 1,65mm.
A probable synonym of puteana Coutagne is collieri Nicolas, 1891.
Adult specimen from the same same spot, with an undulating lip. 1,8mm.
These spirally arranged minute pimples are shared by the whole of the collected specimens.
Same spot. 1,55-1,7-1,75-1,8mm.
