In crevice, 30cm under low tide level, end of causeway.

21mm. In crevice between big blocks, among red algae and other Callios.
Less rounded in shape than the previous one, but with the same kind of dimmed colours.
The shell was crushed, possibly by a Jonah crab, and shows repairs on a large part of its last whorl.

Dominant species in the spot

16mm Nassarius reticulatus (Linnæus, 1758). Moderately common in upper places,
it becomes abundant underwater. This little form, which is not incrassatus, is encountered on rocks,
while large shells of form "mamillata" prefer sandy bottoms.
19mm Gibbula magus (Linnæus, 1767).
These shells prefer sandy-muddy bottoms, with little stones and gravel.
Unusual colour for this specimen stray on big rocks.
