Mediterranean. Original taxon: Tellina pulchella. Tellina pulchella –« Shell oblong, compressed, thin, rose-coloured, rayed with red, concentrically banded with white, minutely concentrically striated ; posterior side short, acuminated, narrow, slightly angular, dorsal margin sloping, ventral margin slightly contracted in front of the angle, ligament conspicuous ; anterior side oblong, rather narrow at the end, hinge margin with one anterior lateral tooth near the umbo. » –L.
