Abra segmentum (Récluz, 1843)

Original taxon: Syndosmya segmentum.
Synonyms: fabula, ovata, segmentina
 
The major difference with Abra alba or Abra longicallus is in the more angular, less obtuse umbonal area. Brusina, in his description of Scrobicularia fabula, writes that the« apici sono acuti ». Fisher notices also these slightly acute umbones (natibus subinflatis) in his remarks about the species.
