Central Mediterranean, Adriatic.
Predator on sessile preys, probably Ascidians, in the deep circalittoral, including red coral environments.
Original taxon: Cypraea multilirata.
Above and below: sand beach nourishment dredged at 80-100m deep, off Silvi Marina, Teramo, Abruzzo, E. Italy. 9-9mm.
A synonym is pellucens Coen & Vatova, 1933.

Trawled at 85-100m deep, off Bari, Puglia, SE. taly. 11,5mm.
For these specimens from eastern Italy, another synonym was generated: adriatica Coen, 1937.
