Tritia goreensis (von Maltzan, 1884)
Western Morocco to Angola. Scavenger in the infralittoral (« loca limosa ad 20m » in von Maltzan) and the circalittoral.
Original taxon: Nassa goreensis.

120m deep, on detritic bottom with Corallium rubrum, northern coast of Morocco, Gibraltar Strait. 11mm.

This shell shows the design of the specimens collected in western Sahara. The southern coast of the Strait represents an interesting range extension, not impossible as the species is collected off western Morocco. Cf. Moukrim, García Raso & Gofas, 2010: “Notes on the benthic macrofauna of Agadir Bay (Atlantic Morocco)”, Iberus 28(1), Oviedo 2010, p97-114.
