« The surface represents a regular reticulation formed by the intersection of the ribs and transversal cords, which, where they cross, raise an acute and thorny papilla. The meshes are deep and quadrangular. The right lip is serrated around the margin and internally furrowed; the left one is completely missing, in such a way that the columella appears bare, and is reticulated like the rest of the shell. » – G. Brocchi: Conchiologia fossile subapennina vol. II, Milano 1814, p.423.

80-100m deep, Mykonos island, Kykládes, S. Aegean. 14,5mm.
