Pseudofusus clarae
(Russo & Renda in Russo, 2013)
Messina area, S. Sardinia…
Predator in the circalittoral.

The shell is close to some morphs of Gracilipurpura rostrata (Olivi, 1792) but differs in some important points: the primary spiral ribs and the radial costae are more numerous, the costae are stronger, and the secondary spiral ribs appear clearly only in subsutural position, while they are conspicuous on the whole surface of rostrata.

50-80m deep, off Poetto, Cagliari, S. Sardinia. 33mm.
