Potamopyrgus antipodarum (J.E. Gray, 1843)
Fresh and brackish waters of New Zealand. Invasive species in worldwide temperate countries. Grazer and detritus feeder in shallow water. Also predator on very young oysters. Original taxon: Amnicola antipodarum. Due to the high variability of its shell, this species received many synonyms. – On shallow sediments, along the northwestern shore of Vouliagmeni marine lake, west of Perachora, in the north-west of Loutraki, N. Korinthia, Greece. 3mm.

Spire variation. On the southern bank of the Rio Ebre, between Riumar harbour and the Gola de Tramuntana, Sant Carles de la Ràpita, Tarragona, Catalunya, NE. Spain. 3,1mm.
Together with a Mercuria sp., Theodoxus fluviatilis (Linnaeus, 1758) and Eupaludestrina stagnorum (Gmelin, 1791) near a lagunar environment, in a spring on Sainte-Lucie island, north of Port-la-Nouvelle, Aude, Occitania, S. France. 4,3-3,6-3,75mm.
A specimen floating under the surface, on which it feeds (microalgae). Douctouyre river, near the confluence with the rivulet of Senesse, north of Dun, Ariège, S. France.
