Micrograzer in the upper intertidal rocky shores, with a noticeable fondness for wave washed areas. The species can live up to 6m above the sea level (DORIS).
Shallow water, on surf-beaten rocks, entrance of Port-Pin inlet, Cassis, Provence, S. France. 21-31mm.
Synonyms: lusitanica, nigropunctata, punctata.
Salabrena, Granada, Andalucia, S. Spain. 23,5-25mm.
Variation of the muscular print.
