Ectoparasit in the infralittoral.
Original taxon: Odostomia monozona.
 
Shell conical, white, weakly transparent. Protoconch of type B. Teleoconch composed of 5 flat whorls, deeply excavated at the suture; radial sculpture made up of some orthocline ribs, as large as their interspaces and rather straight, which extend onto the base where they subside and vanish; the spiral sculpture consists of a unique band (monozona) that makes the shoulder of each whorl, and of numerous microstriae in the interspaces and around the base; aperture oval; one columellar fold. Synonyms: intermixta, jeffreysi, rara.
