Omalogyra simplex (O.G. Costa, 1861)
Mediterranean to Canarias.
Micrograzer in the infralittoral and possibly deeper.
Original taxon: Ammonicerina simplex.
 
The species « is characterized by having a transparent, somewhat yellowish shell, in which oblique reddish lines stand out, which, viewed from the front, are arranged in a “V” shape with the summit pointing towards the aperture. According to Palazzi (1988), the shell of this species presents a strong radial roughness, a smooth protoconch and a bowed lip. » – Oliver, Templado & Kersting: “Gasterópodos marinos de las Islas Columbretes”, Iberus vol. 30 (2), p.78-80.

« …it is characterized by well marked and irregular radial roughness and by a typical colour given by yellow and white alternations.
