Iceland & Barents Sea to Canarias, W. Africa, Azores to Mediterranean. Ectoparasit, possibly of Polychaetes, in the infralittoral and the circalittoral (35-45fm in Fischer, 1873), mainly on rocky substrates.
Shell slender for the genus; whorls barely convex; suture thin but well marked; sculpture made up of very weak spiral striae; in some specimens, prosocline growth-lines can also be seen; aperture small; one columellar tooth; umbilicus reduced to a chink. – 80-150m deep, off Málaga, Andalucia, S. Spain. 2,3mm. |
