Protoconch of type B; whorls slightly more convex than in the close species improbabilis; thin spiral sculpture, most of times present; weak subsutural sulcus; one columellar fold, or tooth; no trace of umbilicus. – 35-50m, Málaga. 3mm.

Young specimen with a marked spiral sculpture and a hidden columellar tooth (absent or more adapically placed than in usual shells). 55m deep, Ognina, Catania, E. Sicilia. 2,2mm.
