Ocenebra paddeui
(Bonomolo & Buzzurro, 2006)
Northern and western Sardinia. Predator on bivalves, known only from the type-locality, Alghero, Sassari province, where its is not uncommonly found, living in association with Corallium rubrum in the circalittoral. Named in honour of Tonino Paddeu, corallaro from Alghero, who demonstrated the highest willingness to science, especially about the relationship between malacofauna and red coral. Notice the columella, « weakly erect abapically » (Bonomolo & Buzzurro, 2006), which merges with the membrane that closes the canal.
