Ocenebra hispidula (Pallary, 1904)
Central to eastern Mediterranean. Some records from Morocco. Predator on bivalves in the very shallow infralittoral.
Synonyms: acanthophorus Monterosato, erroneus
Above and below: 1-2m deep, Bordj-el-Hessar, Kerkennah island, Gulf of Gabes, S. Tunisia. 13,5mm.
Close to edwardsii, but narrower, larger, paler, and with a longer siphonal canal.
Extreme variant with a pronounced sculpture: on stones at 50cm deep, Porto Lafia, SW.  Évvia island, E. Greece. 15mm.
O. hispidula or edwardsii? Large shell from 1m deep, under rock, Torre delle Stelle, west of Cagliari, SW. Sardinia. 16mm.
