Naria spurca (Linnaeus, 1758)

Algarve to Angola, Mediterranean.
 
Omnivorous in the infralittoral and the circalittoral, on hard substrate, in crevices and caves; occasionally on sandy grounds. Original taxon: Cypraea spurca (filthy, dirtied). Some named variants of poor interest: albida, dilatata, elongata, flavida, limpida, punctatissima, viridula…

1-2m deep, under rocks with seagrass, Águilas, Murcia, S. Spain. 20-28mm. The base is paler than the dorsum, and is sometimes spotted. White teeth.
Average specimens are more orange than brown. This lot is quite dark for the species.
