Norway to Angola, Canarias to Mediterranean. Ectoparasit, at least in the infralittoral. Original taxon: Turbo conoideus. Synonyms: monodon, nagli, polita, scotica… Following Bogi & Cuneo (Il genere Odostomia in Mediterraneo), distinctive features are: 1- Labial teeth on internal surface (Megastomia); 2- Columellar tooth; 3- Protoconch of type A. 10m deep, off Torre Astura, Nettuno, Lazio, W.
