Predator in the infralittoral, on sandy bottoms.
Original taxon: Mangiliella barashi.
 
« Massive species, whorls angular, sparse and coarse axial ribs, narrow mouth with a very reinforced lip. »Conchiglie del Mediterraneo. 8m deep, at base of a submarine bank of conglomerate, on detritic sand, east of Mochlos, northeastern side of the Kolpos Mirabellou, E. Lassithi, N. Crete. 4,75mm.
 
« Protoconch paucispiral. Teleoconch: sculpture of thin spiral cords, alternating with stronger strings more sparsely disposed. The axial ribs are robust, about as wide as their interspaces, with a fairly pronounced shoulder toward the suture. The spiral cords surmount the axial ribs.
