Mediterranean. Predator in sheltered hard bottoms of the infralittoral down to 40-45m deep. Sympatric with G. marginata, the species seems to provide a weaker resistance to local environmental changes than the latter (Boyer & al., 2003).

Shell variable, suboval, with a somewhat rostrated summit; the aperture is rather narrow except in the anterior part, which is expanded. – Cerbère, Eastern Pyrenees, S. France. 1,8mm.
