Central to Eastern Mediterranean.
Grazer and deposit feeder in the circalittoral.
The spiral cords are weaker than in sanguineum, the whorls more convex; the suture is slightly canaliculate, the basis is lighter in colour. 100m deep, Egadi islands, W. Sicily. 4-5mm.
