Eulimella acicula (Philippi, 1836)
British Isles to Canarias, to Mediterranean & Black Sea.
Ectoparasit of unknown molluscs in the infralittoral and the circalittoral. Original taxon: Melania acicula. Synonyms: curtata, flagellum, laevis, subcylindrata… Protoconch of type A; prosocline growth lines. The shape varies a little, with whorls more or less flat, but never convex (« anfractibus convexiusculis » in Philippi). « Fresh specimens are most minutely and closely striated in a concentric direction. » – J. G. Jeffreys: “On the recent species of Odostomia […] inhabiting the seas of Great Britain and Ireland”, The Annals and magazine of natural history vol. II ser. 2, number XI, p.350.

Bozcaada, infralittoral. 3,7-3,8mm. Despite the rather rounded whorls, this may not be a ventricosa: the protoconch is too large for that species.
