Emarginula pustula Thiele in Küster, 1913
Corsica (R. Huet 2014), Tyrrhenian Sea.
Predator on sessile preys in infralittoral and circalittoral.
Reported from Posidonia meadows, possibly belonging to the rhizome layer community (Bonfitto & Sabelli, 1992).

« Protoconch yellowish, of one whorl, with a slightly pointed apex; sculpture made of numerous tabular elements of extremely irregular shape that show, in some specimens, a slight tendancy to align themselves in radial stripes near the terminal part; […] A hoop, due to a dilatation of the stoma of the protoconch, makes the separation from the teleoconch, which has no uniform sculpture. In fact, all the portion of the latter that remains in contact with the protoconch bears a sculpture made up of thin decurrent cords separated by spaces of more or less the same size; these cords tend to divide dichotomically, increasing progressively in number. In this area, especially in its proximal part, there are also some radial ridges which give a slightly clathed appearance. This first sculpture of the teleoconch abruptly changes as some of the decurrent cords stop while others expand enormously, giving rise to the characteristic flat ribs, separated by slight perforated depressions, of the shell. The inner surface, which under magnification appears weakly wrinkled, is adorned with a series of pores […] corresponding to the perforations of the outer surface. » – Bonfitto & Sabelli: op. cit.
