Predator in the infralittoral.
 
« Shell fusiform. Whorls convex, adorned with longitudinal ribs and equidistant decurrent streaks passing over the ribs. Aperture oblong, rounded; anterior canal very open; columella slightly inclined on the left. Labrum simple, folded inward and provided at the top with a shallow sinus. Colour of a pure white, a little hyaline. The protoconch, typical of the genus, whith the two weak spirals that appear near the transition proto-teleo.
Other generic character: the sculpture « coarsely clathrate, consisting of heavy rounded axials, overridden by almost equally strong spiral cords, which are gemmulate to subspinose at the points of intersection… » – Ibid.
