Chauvetia recondita (Brugnone, 1873)
Canarias to Algarve, to central Mediterranean. Scavenger and predator in sciaphile environments, from shallow water to at least the upper circalittoral, often sheltered in the rhizomes of Posidonia and in the coralligen. Colour: orange to light brown, often with a slightly darker line on the spiral ridges. Original taxon: Lachesis recondita. Synonym: vulpecula.

Spiral beads thinner than their interspaces. The teleoconch whorls are a little more convex than in procerula.
