Theodoxus poppei Ahuir, 2020
N.  Morocco.
Grazer in freshwater streams.

The shell differs from those of africanus or arctilineatus by its slightly uncoiled spire; from those of baeticus-meridionalis and fluviatilis by the thickness of its walls and the pointing apex; from those of djedida and numidicus by its more expanded and fat columellar callus.

Paratype 3; under stone at Douar Ellil, Moulaya river, NW. Berkane Province, N. Morocco. 8,05mm.
No periostracum. Axial sculpture made up of growth stops and numerous commarginal growth lines, all sinuous and prosocline.
Same spot. 7,2mm.
A globose specimen from Douar Ellil. 7,55mm.
Operculum pale, with a labial margin devoid of colour. The apophysis is similar to that of fluviatilis. However, it differs from the latter by a conspicuous basal extension located not in line with the anterior abutment (Glöer’s “Rib shield” in fluviatilis) but between the arcus and the abutment.
